We remember that at the initiative of the Mayor of Orhei, from December 11^th until January 14^th was deployed a special contest for Orhei dwellers who live in apartments and in houses. 

Thus, according to a provision signed by the mayor of Orhei, Ilan SHOR, a commission was formed, consisting of deputy mayors, specialists from Orhei City Hall and councilors from the Municipal Council of Orhei, who have been carefully studying the works carried out by townspeople.

The contest included 13 participants, who used their creativity and adorned their homes and courtyards as they knew best.

As a result of the commission's decision, the inhabitants from 20 Mihail Sadoveanu Street were appointed to the category - the most beautiful decorated block, the prize offered by the Mayor Ilan SHOR was a playground, which will be arranged until 1 May.

Also, in the category of the most beautiful private houses were appointed the residents of 22 Hotin Street and 12 Ion Voda Street, being awarded with a bicycle.

Moreover, 7 preschool institutions from Orhei, which participated in the contest "Hora Brazilor", a contest held in the framework of the 3-rd Orhei Christmas Fair, were also awarded.

The children together with the educators made Christmas trees made of recyclable materials. Thus, at the initiative of the Mayor, all institutions were awarded with participation diplomas and a musical center, very necessary technical equipment in the music classes.

We mention that the purpose of these contests was to mobilize the townspeople to turn not only the public spaces but also the yards into a true winter story, as well as the involvement of children in the processes of creation and development.

Such contests will be held annually in the municipality of Orhei.
