The workers will install 300 meters of curbs on both sides of the road and will lay 90 tons of asphalt with a thickness of 5 cm. Approximately 16 m3 of concrete will also be used.
During a working visit, the mayor of Orhei, Ilan Shor, said that local authorities are making every effort to complete as soon as possible the 60 courts in the framework of the program “Operation Courtyard”. He assured that all projects started in Orhei will be completed.
” Last year we started the total reconstruction of the residential block yards, which continues this year. I have always said that the courtyard of the block is where the locals meet and discuss, where the first emotions appear. For this reason, for me, it is very important that every city resident when coming out from the house will step on the asphalt, which we do. I am convinced that in a very short time, we will complete the reconstruction of the blocks in the city. Currently approximately 70% of the yards are modernized. In the courtyards we lay asphalt, sport and playgrounds, drying areas are arranged. We are in the 21st century. That's why Orhei must meet the criteria of this century. People need to feel comfortable. And to do this, all the specialized institutions in the city work on this”, declared the mayor of Orhei, Ilan Shor.
We remind that the “Operation Courtyard” project was launched in spring last year by Orhei City Hall, at the initiative of Mayor Ilan Shor, aiming to modernize the infrastructure and the spaces around the multi-leveled buildings in the city. Within the project, the courtyards are fully renovated and equipped with parking spaces, laundry facilities, playgrounds and children's playgrounds, as well as landscaped with green areas.
Up to now, over 40 courtyards of multi-leveled buildings have been modernized in Orhei, of the 60 planned.
