After many years of sleeping in old beds, bought during the times of USSR, the children from the kindergartens of Orhei, from today, will sleep in modern and comfortable beds.

This, according to the indication of the Mayor of Orhei, Ilan SHOR, the 7 preschool institutions were equipped with new furniture.

Over 230 modern beds with orthopedic mattresses were purchased and distributed to kindergartens in Orhei. Moreover, besides furniture, kindergartens were equipped with toys and teaching materials, children's artistic literature, musical instruments, and other equipment.

According to the Mayor of Orhei, Ilan SHOR: „modernizing kindergartens and creating the conditions for the educational program is a priority for our team. Two years ago, we upgraded and opened additional groups, giving all children on waiting lists the chance to attend kindergartens. Today we equipped the institutions with new furniture and the next step in the program for the modernization of the pre-school institutions is the centralization of the food process in the Orhei kindergartens in order to ensure a more rigorous control of the quality of the food” noted Ilan SHOR.

Not only children are happy with these reforms, but also the educators.

Mrs. Lilia Sorocean, the Headmaster of the Kindergarten no. 2 from Orhei municipality mentioned that: „the furniture in kindergartens has not been restored for more than 20 years. Today, we are very glad that Mayor Ilan SHOR is paying increased attention to pre-school institutions and is working to modernize kindergartens and provide European conditions for city children”

We remind that in 2016, at the initiative of the Mayor Ilan SHOR were renovated and opened 6 groups for children, who were on waiting lists because of the insufficient places in kindergartens.

In Orhei city are operating 7 pre-school institutions and 7 gymnasium and high school institutions.
