Other over 20 families have received allowances for newborns in the amount of 7 thousand lei for the first child and 10 thousand lei for the next child.

Providing material support for newborns is carried out from 2015 as part of a special social program launched by Mayor Ilan Shor and carried out jointly with the public association “Pentru Orhei”. Also, the social project is provided in the election program of Mayor Ilan Shor and, to date continues to be done step by step.

At the same time, we specify that, thanks to the introduction of the new-born allowance, the birth rate in Orhei increased by about 50%, with an increase in the number of applications for granting allowances.

At the event, the young families expressed their thanks for their support for the birth rate.

Currently, Orhei is the only city in the Republic of Moldova where the development of nongovernmental social programs is actively practiced.

Moreover, the concern of the authorities for the fate of the young generations in Orhei is visible through the support given to kindergartens in the city through the opening of new groups, additional funding for children's food, playgrounds, and measurable actions and appreciated by the city's parents.

We would like to remind you that the Orhei allowance for newborns is granted to families in Orhei who meet the following conditions: families / parents who have a residence visa and have lived for at least 12 months until the birth of the child in Orhei, provided that the newborn was registered with the OSS, and the allowance was requested within 6 months of the child's birth.
