Until then, for the first time, the Orhei inhabitants will participate in a Lottery where 200 valuable prizes are at stake and the long-awaited prize is a car of Volkswagen Polo model.

On City Day, Orhei has been decorated for celebration and became unrecognizable.

Early in the morning, the inhabitants participated in the liturgy officiated by a group of priests and the Bishop of Orhei, the Parish Siluan, at St. Dumitru Church. They lit a candle and prayed for the changes that have begun at Orhei to continue at the same pace.

After the service, the representatives of Orhei City Hall, accompanied by a group of priests and locals marched in the artistic parade on the rhythms of drummers to the Vasile Lupu Monument, where they laid flowers.

"After laying flowers at the Monument of Vasile LUPU, the Mayor of Orhei, Ilan SHOR, sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of 463 years anniversary of Orhei:
Orhei holds a special place in my life and in my heart. I feel a sincere love for Orhei. I am truly proud of Orhei. I am deeply grateful to Orhei for having taught me responsibility for every word, every action, every promise I make. Working here, I realized: you cannot deceive people's expectations. I thank Orhei for rewarding me with the most valuable trust of people who live here and support our creative work. I thank Orhei for giving me a ticket to political life.

Like every year, the center of Orhei was decorated with traditional elements, with a huge autumn carpet, and recently, this year, the City Hall has installed more than 50 ornamented fixtures, which impressed all the people present at the feast.

Moreover, in Vasile Lupu Square was organized a fair of culinary dishes and exhibitions of the popular craftsmen.

Here, art lovers can purchase craft items.

Children will not be bored on this day, especially for them was set up a fun park with trampolines, slides, carousel, free master classes and workshops.
 
On the stage from Vasile Lupu Square, folk ensembles and artistic groups from Orhei, Chisinau and Gagauzia warmed up the atmosphere.

By the noon, in the square were felt the taste and the aroma of childhood, all city inhabitants and the guests, who came at the celebration were served with biscuits, decorated with the symbol of Orhei.

Immediately after these delights, at 15:00 will take place the first draw of the Lottery where 200 valuable prizes will be at stake, and the big prize is a car.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere of the feast will be warmed up by local artists - Ionel Istrati, Dianna Rotaru, Dara, DoreDos, Zdob si Zdub.

The tickets from the Lottery will be drawn in several stages.

The evening's surprise will be the legendary band “Modern Talking”, which will play the popular songs of the '80s.

The feast will culminate with a show of fireworks.
